Standard Chartered: Bitcoin to Hit $500,000 by 2029
According to Geoffrey Kendrick, Standard Chartered’s Head of Digital Assets Research, Bitcoin could reach $500,000 before the end of Trump’s current term in 2029.
The forecast is backed by:
-
Q1 13F SEC data showing a rise in institutional and even government exposure to Bitcoin.
-
A decline in ETF exposure, with more investors buying Strategy (MSTR) shares as a proxy for BTC due to local regulatory restrictions on direct holdings.
“BTC will attract new institutional buyer types as the market matures,” Kendrick said.
“MSTR is being used by some governments as indirect Bitcoin exposure.”
Institutional Rotation: Bonds Out, Bitcoin In
A new report from KKR & Co. reveals that government bonds are losing their edge as risk-off hedges.
